Hi Denis,
In Houston proper, the AREDN mesh is in planning stages. In fact, we had a meeting schedule on the Monday during Harvey to go over the deployment plan. I live in Montgomery County just north of Harris County (Houston). Our damage was not as bad as in Houston. Our comm and power infrastructure stayed up for the most part. Our AREDN network was available 100% before/during/and after the storm. We (ARES) have been using it lightly (VOIP calls to EOC, MeshChat), but, since our infrastructure was in tact, we didn't need it this time.
Thank you Darryl for that update. I was surprised that we didn't see any information from the Houston area mesh but that explains it. I hope as we all do that Houston and all the areas effected by Harvey and now with Florida in the in the crosshair of Irma all recover quickly!
