I'm flashing an AirRouter AR but I first downgraded from 5.6.2 XM to 5.5.11 XM. That went fine.
Just an FYI. This instructions state that the IP address of the UBNT device prior to flashing to AREDN is 192.168.1.20. Not so on my AirRouter. Mine is 192.168.1.1 which is the IP of the device out of the box with 5.6.2 XM. I suspect that during the downgrade it maintained the IP address. I know UBNT devices I have flashed out of the box that were compatible from the factory were in fact 192.168.1.20.
Anyway, as I said just an FYI.
